What's the difference between Tarot Cards and Oracle Cards?

The main difference between Tarot and Oracle Cards are that Tarot Cards take the traditional form of exactly 78 cards, divided into 22 major arcana cards and 56 minor arcana cards. They are also divided further into four categories: Wands, Cups, Swords and Pentacles.

Traditionally, they were only read by experts, though this has opened up to the general public a lot more now that there is a lot more information available about them.

Oracle Cards are much more flexible in size, structure and form - and are very much designed to be accessible for everyone. The number of cards often varies, and they almost always come with a guidebook in order to walk you step by step through how to use them.
